At Chelsea we work to the CEFR International language standards.
About the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability.
It is used around the world to describe learners’ language skills.
What exams are on the CEFR?
The CEFR describes language ability on a scale of levels from A1 for beginners up to C2 for those who have mastered a language. This makes it easy for anyone involved in language teaching and testing, such as teachers or students, to see the level of different qualifications. It also means that employers and educational institutions can easily compare our qualifications to other exams in their country.
The diagram below shows all of our English exams on the CEFR.
LEVEL TEST
Here at `The Chelsea English Centre´ we believe that for a student to truly be successful in learning English, they must be placed in a class that is going to challenge them, yet above all remain interesting and fun. We take the time to assess each individual student personally before they enrol with us. This ensures we place them in the correct group for their ability and in the long run, will make sure they see consistent improvements in their ability to communicate successfully in English.
If you are interested in enrolling with us please do not hesitate to come along and let us test your level of English. All level tests are conducted here at our facilities in Avda. Pablo Iglesias, 84, and are undertaken from 16:30 onwards. There´s no need to book an appointment beforehand, just come along and we can inform you of the level we believe you currently have and discuss the options we have available for your particular needs.
